Komodo’s fourth annual Notary Node Election came to an end on May 4, 2020, and the Komodo team would like to congratulate and welcome all of the operators who won a seat in the Notary Node network.

Smart contracts once promised to bring us a world without rent-seeking middlemen, where Code is Law, and trust is enforced by math and blockchain consensus. While substantial progress has been achieved, the initial vision of a truly trustless system hasn’t been realized.

September 13, 2022 marks the 6th birthday of the KMD genesis block. Since the first block was mined on September 13, 2016, Komodo has delivered six years of non-stop innovation.

The Komodo Team is excited to announce details about the Fourth Annual Notary Node Election. Participants must submit a proposal by 12:00 UTC on April 12.

The Komodo team acknowledges and rewards key community contributions each month and, with another month now behind us, it's time to honor those who made significant contributions to the Komodo project in November 2019!

On December 20, 2019, at block height 1670000, Komodo will activate a platform-wide update that provides improvements to the Antara Framework, including upgrades to Komodo’s Proof of Stake (PoS) implementation and new modules that make DeFi capabilities available within the Komodo ecosystem.

As the blockchain industry continues to mature, a greater number of businesses are beginning to explore how they can adopt blockchain technology.

September marked the end of the second “Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Technologies” course at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).
