12 years ago Satoshi Nakamoto released the Bitcoin whitepaper outlining the conception of blockchain ideas and UTXO technology. In league with the idea of a self sovereign future, we at Komodo are announcing the debut of AtomicDEX beta — a non-custodial, self-sovereign wallet and digital asset exchange solution. The protocol, and gem, of which our AtomicDEX GUI is built on is a testament to the vision from which our crypto sphere started. Bitcoin was the start of UTXO technology. Komodo is honored to help push the next wave of blockchain tech forward.

Here’s a summary of the features that we have highlighted in the week leading up to the release. You can check out the full posts for more details on each feature. Be sure to download the latest version of AtomicDEX to check out these upgrades, store assets in the non-custodial wallet, and make cross-chain trades via the atomic swap platform.

TradingView Charts

New charts on AtomicDEX enable you to view price action in various formats and time Intervals. You can even compare the market movement of your favorite crypto trading pairs to a variety of other assets and use advanced technical analysis tools directly in-app.

Liquidity Pool Multiplier

Komodo developers have taken the concept of One-Cancels-the-Other order (OCO) trading styles and merged it with the atomic swap trading process. The result is the liquidity pool multiplier, which enables users to place multiple limit orders with the same funds. It’s a Grandma-friendly liquidity solution for traders on AtomicDEX.

Band Oracle Price Feeds

AtomicDEX has adopted a decentralized price feed through deep collaboration and partnership with Band Protocol. The initial result of this collaboration is the integration of 12 Band Protocol data pairs for AtomicDEX, providing a secure, scalable, and chain-agnostic solution for accurate real-time data.

InstaList Feature for Custom ERC-20 Tokens

Custom ERC-20 support was previously only available for AtomicDEX at the protocol level. With the release of AtomicDEX v0.3, it’s easy to add any of the 322,000+ ERC-20 tokens in existence through the GUI. As soon as a new ERC-20 token is created, you can add it to AtomicDEX. Store assets like YFI, ENJ, or WBTC in your non-custodial wallet and/or trade them on the DEX. Komodo’s AtomicDEX uses decentralized P2P order books, so there’s no bonding curves, rugpulls, or vampire attacks.

Fresh Coin Listings

Now that anyone can list their ERC-20 tokens, Komodo is working to get as many other projects integrated into our interop protocol as possible. 10 new coins are now available for non-custodial storage and atomic swap trading on AtomicDEX.

Here’s the 10 new coins we’ve added to the AtomicDEX v0.3 initial beta release: MONA, NMC, GLEEC, BTCH, HODL, KOIN, MSHARK, WLC, ZILLA, and SPACE

The last 6 (BTCH, HODL, KOIN, MSHARK, WLC, ZILLA, and SPACE) are constructed using Komodo’s own blockchain composer technology.  Each of these coins runs on their own self-sovereign blockchain independent of the KMD chain, and thanks to Komodo’s multi-chain architecture, each projects blockchain comes with built-in unlimited scalability, 51% attack resistance, and its own customized parameters. (e.g. block times, block rewards, and consensus mechanisms). Read our developer documentation for more details on how you can launch your own blockchain.

Any team can get the same benefits by developing on Komodo’s open source chain composer technology, be sure to come by, check us out, and talk to the team especially if you’re interested in getting involved and building with Komodo open source tech. Internship opportunities, junior development program, and clear paths to using Komodo tech are all coming as part of the 2021 roadmap.  Learn. Build. Prosper.
