Komodo has now partnered with EduBlock, a non-profit organization aiming to unite Puerto Rican universities via blockchain while accelerating blockchain education on the island.
EduBlock is rapidly developing the blockchain community in Puerto Rico to drive scalable blockchain solutions for social impact, community empowerment and the private sector.
This partnership formally begins during EduBlock’s RestartWeek, which will be occurring at the University of Puerto Rico-Maygüez from May 11th - May 19th. RestartWeek, which is offering over $10,000 in cash prizes and scholarships, is Puerto Rico’s leading Blockchain Conference series built to attract open data enthusiasts and innovators from different backgrounds to explore problems and produce real-world blockchain-based solutions.
Komodo x RestartWeek
On May 19th (1-5 PM EST) in UPR-Maygüez’s Chemical Engineering Amphitheater (IQ-004), one of Komodo’s lead developers, Luis Garcia (Slack username: @siu) will be present to educate attendants on the following:
- How to Create your own mineable, independent blockchains using Komodo’s source code.
- How to Perform Atomic Swaps on the Komodo Platform.
- How to Build a Komodo platform client.
- How to Mine a newly minted blockchain.
- Exploring Komodo via Linux OS.
The event is open and free for all to participate, and it will benefit you most if you already have experience with the command line. We simply encourage you to bring your own laptop with Linux OS.
