Bittrex announced on January 1, 2021, that it plans to delist three privacy coins: Dash (DASH), Zcash (ZEC), and Monero (XMR). DASH and ZEC are currently available and will remain available in the permissionless protocol underpinning AtomicDEX. XMR is being explored in tandem with its upcoming integration of atomic swap technology.
DASH & ZEC - Supported On AtomicDEX
Despite a push to delist privacy coins across major centralized exchanges, the Komodo AtomicDEX permissionless protocol won’t ever be delisting DASH and ZEC. Additionally, ZEC and DASH will remain listed on the AtomicDEX GUI applications for the foreseeable future. Even if these assets were ever to be delisted from Komodo's flagship GUI applications, they will never be delisted from the permissionless protocol itself.
In other words, any hard forks of AtomicDEX would be able to list these assets and make use of atomic swap technology for cryptocurrency trading. 100% open-source atomic swap technology is a game-changer for the blockchain space. The permissionless protocol underpinning AtomicDEX provides the widest cross-protocol support among all decentralized exchange technologies. You can trade DASH and ZEC against BTC, ETH, ERC-20 tokens, LTC, KMD, and coins from dozens of other blockchain protocols.
AtomicDEX - A Permissionless DEX Technology
Want to launch your own atomic swap powered DEX? The underlying protocol of AtomicDEX is 100% open source. In addition to supporting cross-protocol trading, the protocol also enables anyone to create their own non-custodial wallet solutions.
